  • Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant position will provide administrative support to the assigned Cheiron consultants located in our Mount Laurel, New Jersey, Pinebrook, New Jersey, and New York City offices. To be successful in this role, this person must be able to communicate well, enjoy working in a highly professional and client service oriented role, have strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite, and exhibit attention to detail and accuracy. This position requires someone who can be collaborative, proactive, and forward thinking. Cheiron offers an excellent benefits package upon hire.
  • Essential Job Functions:
    • Organize and prioritize projects and work under time pressure and deadlines
    • Format, proofread, edit, and produce letters, reports, and presentations
    • Make travel arrangements for consultants
    • Enter consultants’ travel expenses into Cheiron’s time system and assist with client invoicing and payments
    • Coordinate documentation (paper and/or electronic)
    • Must pay attention to detail, and follow through on assignments until completion
    • Must learn and follow all instructions, office procedures, and company policies
    • Maintain office supplies for Mount Laurel, NJ office by checking inventory and ordering
  • Required Skills and Competencies:
    • Ability to think logically and exercise sound judgement
    • Ability to handle all situations with professionalism
    • Ability to organize and handle changing priorities and ability to multitask efficiently
    • Ability to comprehend and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
    • Must have a high proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook (a proficiency test will be given to assess skills before employment)
    • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of people (both internally and externally)
    • Must possess excellent verbal/written communication
    • Must be able to read handwritten notes, proofread, and have excellent knowledge of punctuation and grammar
    • Must be able to produce letters, reports, and presentations and provide a professional finish to the final work-product
    • Strong analytical skills including ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
    • Ability to quickly learn and master new technology
  • Additional Requirement:
    • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. of weight
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university is preferred
    • At least five years of experience as an administrative assistant, prior experience in a professional services firm is a plus
