Joshua Davis joined Cheiron in July 2011. Prior to his employment at Cheiron, Joshua was a Consulting Actuary at Milliman where he provided actuarial services to various Public and Taft-Hartley clients. Before entering the actuarial profession, Joshua was a Captain in the United States Air Force focusing on command and control of nuclear weapons.
Joshua specializes in Public, Taft-Hartley, and Pension Finance/Risk Management sectors. His experience includes producing actuarial valuations, experience studies, disclosures, projection models, web administration systems, custom bond models, benefit calculators, and risk neutralization strategies. He co-authored and presented a paper at the Society of Actuaries Public Finance Symposium entitled "Using Risk Profiles to Manage Public Pension Funding Goals" and has been a speaker at the IFEBP annual conference.
Joshua holds a BS in Mathematics and was a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Joshua currently serves on the Joint Board's EA-2B exam writing committee.
