Patrick has 18 years of experience working primarily with public and multiemployer pension plans.
His experience includes performing annual actuarial valuations, preparing disclosure reports for pension plans and post-retiree medical plans, including calculations under GASB 67, 68, 74 and 75, and funding and accounting calculations for qualified and non-qualified public and private plans. He also works on experience studies, actuarial audits, and plan design studies.
Patrick likes to get involved in any educational opportunity he can: whether learning or teaching, clients or fellow actuaries. He believes continuous education makes everyone stronger together. He also enjoys digging into complex plan designs, data sets, and models to ensure their accuracy and completeness.
He joined Cheiron in July 2009.
He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst.
